HOSTERIA SEPTIMO PARAISO ( Cloudforest )

Hosteria Septimo Paraiso is located at just 1 1/2 hours from Quito, Ecuador; 2 km from la Y de Mindo, towards the village. The Hosteria has 22 luxurious rooms with private bathroom, hot water from our own spring with an old country style decoration. The two houses cater for different budgets without losing its first class category.

The Tandayapa and Mindo Valleys, just 84 km northwest of Quito, is one of the best birding sites in South America. Around 430 species have been recorded, with 370 around Mindo alone, the birding here is excellent with species such as: Toucan Barbet, Scaled Antpitta, Spillman`s Tapaculo, Little Woodstar, Long-Wattled Umbrellabird, Tanager-finch, Black-crowned Tityra, Golden-Bellied Warbler, Torrent Duck,White-capped Dipper and many more.

Birding at Septimo Paraiso is a magical experience, the overwhelming 322 species makes bird watching here unforgettable.
